The Houston Brewing Company in Renfrewshire is at the vanguard of the revolution in Scottish Brewing.  Carl Wengel and his wife Caroline established the Brewery in 1997, and have carved out a reputation for producing world class award-winning traditional ales.  The Brewery was built in a disused cellar in the Fox & Hounds and Carl produces a wonderful balanced selection of cask conditioned ales, along with a monthly special and a fantastic bottled ale - Houston Crystal.

Ale is delivered throughout the UK using a distribution network that include Flying Firkin, Belhaven, Waverly TBS and our own vans.

Awards Houston have won include :- 

CHAMPION BITTER OF GREAT BRITAIN with Killellan

CHAMPION BEST BITTER OF SCOTLAND with Peter's Well

Bronze Medal, Best Bitter Category, at CAMRA's Champion Beer of Britain with Peter's Well.

The brewery is a fantastic location for brewery tours - a 10 minute look at the brewing process followed by food and drink in the Fox & Hounds - a perfect day!
